Teaching younger children about the true meaning of Easter is so fun! There are many special ways of helping them begin to understand that God is personal and Jesus loves them very much .
For this post, I was researching a few Easter ideas and I came up with this idea to combine storytelling with participation. This is an adapted idea from several different ideas I discovered of this nature.
Easter Bingo for ages 4-7 is designed to give the teacher or parent an opportunity to tell the Easter story using picture symbols. As the pictures are discussed, the children place their markers over the corresponding pictures. Each child has the same bingo card that looks like this:

The order of events for the story is:

Cut one of the bingo cards and choose one of each picture to tell the story. The children can place a marker over the pictures as the story is told. Be sure to let the children know that there may be more than one picture of each section of the story. All the children will complete the card at the same time.
Easter Bingo For Kids
I thought it would be fun to use jelly beans as markers and then the children can eat them when their card is full and the story is completed. Having children interact with the story is a great way to help them remember the points of the story.
